The seafront promenade of Bouzas
To revitalise this area of town's seafront, the Consortium has built a promenade and rehabilitated the area around the church and the beaches.
The design, work of architects Julio Rodríguez and Daniel Rivoira, won the ‘Gómez Román de Arquitectura y Urbanismo’ award in 1999 and the ‘COAG GranDeArea Prize’ in 2002.
Assigned a budget of 900,000 Euros, its well-thought out design has helped to bring new life to this part of Vigo's seafront.
Berbés fishing square
The recovery of the ‘fishing square’ of Berbés is the work of Vázquez Consuegra, the same architect responsible for another of the Consortium's project, the seafront promenade.
Granite, glass, and water combine to enhance the square as it slopes down towards the old arches. Beneath the square is a car park which has cleared the ground above of cars.
‘Arte’ Building
On the Plaza de la Constitución stands the ‘Arte’ Building, home to a health centre.
Designed by Alfonso Penela, it won the ‘COAG's GranDeArea Award’ in 2002.
