Currently, infrastructures on Free Trade Zone industrial land and business parks amount to over three and a half million square metres, housing 350 companies.
This journey began in the 50’s, with the start up of the Balaídos Industrial Area – the largest business park in Vigo. This enclosure has the most productive plant of the firm Peugeot-Citroën in the world, which has led to setting up the Automobile Cluster of Galicia. The supply of business infrastructures is completed by the Trade Area Consortium of Bouzas, A Granxa Industrial Park, housing the Business Initiatives Centre and the Technological and Logistics Park taking in the Textile Town. These 4 parks generate 18,800 direct jobs, meaning 25% of employment in the district, and 40,000 indirect jobs.
