Vigo Activo is a venture capital company that aspires to contribute towards the development of Galicia's economy, and in particular to that of Vigo and its environs. With a capital of 14.324.000 Euros, it is promoted by the CZFV (81,57%), Nova Caixagalicia (13.08%), CXG Corporación Caixagalicia, S.A. (5,22%), and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Vigo (0,13%) .
Its aim is to foment SMEs not quoted on the Stock Exchange that are not in the business of financial services or real estate. They must be newly created Galician companies and have an innovative product or service or show a great potential for growth and profit.
Vigo Activo executes a temporary, minority interest in its capital - between 15 and 40%. The investment varies between 600 and 600,000 Euros and is maintained for a period of three to eight years. Once this period has elapsed, the share is sold either to partners or third parties. Complementarily, the company grants loans, contributes other lawful forms of financial support and offers guidance.
