Currently in construction on the campus of Vigo, the Cidade Tecnolóxica de Vigo SA (CITEXVI) is a project that promotes the transfer of knowledge and R&D&I between the university investigators and the companies.
With a budget of 13 million Euros, the University of Vigo, Caixanova, the Free Zone, and the Xunta de Galicia participate in the technological city. In addition, Spain's Ministry of Education and Science has also contributed a loan of 4.5 million Euros.
The building will house projects from different business sectors. Of the five modules composing the premises, the first two will be used to foster R&D&I in businesses and the remaining three for general research services.
